Throwing Down the Gauntlet Dept.: Jamie Lidell‘s Jim is the best vintage soul album in recent memory. Better than Amy Winehouse. Better than Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Much better than the last Stevie Wonder album which, admittedly, I liked a lot.
